Shanti Stupa, located in Leh, Ladakh, is a magnificent white-domed Buddhist monument built to promote peace and harmony. Thiksey Monastery, located 19 km east of Leh in Ladakh, is a prominent Tibetan Buddhist monastery affiliated with the Gelugpa (Yellow Hat) sect. Established in 1433 by Sherab Zangpo, a disciple of Je Tsongkhapa, it stands atop a hill in the Indus Valley, resembling Tibet's Potala Palace. This twelve-story complex houses numerous stupas, statues, thangkas, and wall paintings. A highlight is the 15-meter-high Maitreya Buddha statue, the largest in Ladakh, spanning two floors. The monastery accommodates around 120 monks and includes a nunnery. Annually, it hosts the Thiksey Gustor Festival, featuring sacred Cham dances and rituals.

Stok Palace, located 15 km south of Leh in Ladakh, India, is a 19th-century royal residence built in 1820 by King Tsepal Namgyal of the Namgyal dynasty. Originally serving as a summer retreat, it remains the home of Ladakh's royal family. In 1980, the palace opened to the public as a heritage hotel, offering guests a unique blend of traditional Ladakhi architecture and royal history. The palace features intricately decorated rooms, a private monastery, and a museum housing royal artifacts, including ceremonial dresses and thangkas. Leh Palace, also known as Lhachen Palkhar, is a 17th-century royal residence perched atop Namgyal Hill in Leh, Ladakh. Commissioned by King Sengge Namgyal, the nine-story structure was modeled after Tibet's Potala Palace, featuring traditional Tibetan architecture with mud, stone, and wood. The upper floors housed the royal family, while the lower levels contained storerooms and stables. Abandoned in the mid-19th century following the Dogra invasion, the palace fell into disrepair. Today, under the care of the Archaeological Survey of India, it serves as a museum showcasing thangkas, royal artifacts, and offers panoramic views of Leh and the surrounding Himalayas.

The Hall of Fame in Leh, Ladakh, is a museum established by the Indian Army in 1986 to honor the bravery and sacrifices of Indian soldiers, particularly those who lost their lives in the Indo-Pak wars, including the Kargil conflict. Located approximately 4 km from Leh city along the Leh-Kargil Road, the museum features exhibits such as weapons used in the Kargil war, apparel and amenities from the Siachen Glacier, and a section dedicated to the cultural heritage of Ladakh. Visitors can also view a documentary on Operation Vijay and a poignant letter from Captain Vijayant Thapar to his parents.

Nubra Valley, located in the northernmost part of Ladakh, is a breathtaking destination known for its stunning landscapes, cold desert, and unique culture. Perched on a hill above the village of Diskit, the monastery offers stunning views of the valley below. Its main attraction is the impressive 32-meter-high statue of Maitreya Buddha, symbolizing peace and protection. Inside, the monastery houses ancient scriptures, murals, and a prayer hall. Diskit Gompa also hosts the colorful Dosmoche festival with sacred dances and rituals.

Pangong Tso, located at an altitude of about 14,270 feet in Ladakh, is one of the most stunning high-altitude lakes in India. Stretching over 134 kilometers, it extends from India to Tibet, with about one-third of the lake in India. Known for its crystal-clear blue waters that change shades with the sunlight, Pangong Tso is surrounded by majestic mountains, creating a breathtaking landscape. It gained popularity after featuring in Bollywood films like 3 Idiots. Though the lake is saline, it freezes completely in winter. Chang La Pass, located at an altitude of approximately 17,586 feet, is one of the highest motorable passes in the world. Situated in Ladakh, it lies on the way to Pangong Tso and connects Leh with the Changthang Plateau. The name "Chang La" means "Pass towards the South" and it is known for its steep climbs, snow-covered roads, and stunning views of the surrounding mountains. Maintained by the Indian Army due to its strategic importance, the pass also has a small temple and café for travelers. Visitors often stop here to enjoy the breathtaking scenery and the thrill of high-altitude travel.
