On arrival at Chennai Airport or Railway Station, you will be transferred to Pondicherry via visiting Mahabalipuram, including the Five Rathas. Mahishasuramardini Mandapa is an example of Indian rock-cut architecture dating from the late 7th century, of the Pallava dynasty. It is a rock-cut cave temple located on a hill, near a lighthouse, along with other caves in Mamallapuram, Mahabalipuram lighthouse, Penance, Krishna Mandapam, Shore Temple, Beach, and Drive to Pondicherry. Upon arrival at Pondicherry check-in at your hotel Pondicherry (or Puducherry), a French colonial settlement in India until 1954, is now a Union Territory town bounded by the southeastern Tamil Nadu state. Its French legacy is preserved in its French Quarter, with tree-lined streets, mustard-colored colonial villas and chic boutiques. A seaside promenade runs along the Bay of Bengal and passes several statues, including a 4m-high Gandhi Memorial. Rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight Stay at the hotel.
