The Lord Ganapathi Temple in Trichy, also known as the Ucchi Pillayar Temple, is a revered shrine dedicated to Lord Ganesha. Perched atop the historic Rockfort hill, the temple offers panoramic views of Trichy city and the Kaveri River. Devotees climb over 400 steps to reach this sacred spot, believed to be where Lord Ganesha ran from King Vibishana after establishing the Ranganathaswamy idol in Srirangam.
