About Darjeeling Ropeway

Experience the breathtaking beauty of the Eastern Himalayas aboard the Darjeeling Ropeway, India's first passenger cable car system, established in 1968. This 5 km aerial journey descends from Singamari (7,000 ft) to Tukvar (6,000 ft), offering panoramic views of verdant tea gardens, cascading waterfalls, and the majestic Kanchenjunga peaks. Each gondola accommodates six passengers, ensuring a comfortable ride through the clouds. The ropeway operates daily from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with tickets priced at ₹200 for adults and ₹100 for children aged 3–8. A must-visit attraction, the Darjeeling Ropeway promises an unforgettable aerial perspective of this picturesque hill station.
