The camera clicks, but for a second, you forget to look at the screen. The air feels humid, a little salty, and somewhere nearby, someone is selling fresh coconut water. Vietnam does that to you. It pulls you out of the “perfect shot” mindset and drops you right into the moment.

And yet, not gonna lie, this country is ridiculously photogenic. Every corner feels like it was made for your feed. But here’s the thing, not every “Instagram-famous” place actually feels worth it. Some do. Some don’t. When people make a list of “places to visit in Vietnam”, they add these places.

So here’s a list that actually works very well with Vietnam tour packages. Spots that look good on camera, yes, but also feel right when you’re standing there.

List of 5 Best places to visit in Vietnam

1. Golden Bridge(Cau Vang)Golden Bridge In Vietnam

You’ve probably seen this already. Giant stone hands holding a golden walkway in the sky. Sounds a bit unreal, right? And it kind of is. The moment you step onto the bridge, clouds drift around, and suddenly everything feels quieter. Early mornings are the best time to visit. If you come later, you will not be able to take photos, because the crowd builds up fast.

What you won’t expect is how short the bridge actually is. But somehow, it still manages to leave an impression. That is why it is considered one of the best places to visit in Vietnam. Golden Bridge is a part of Sun World Ba Na Hills, and you can only reach it by cable car. It will cost you around 3k.

2. Ha Long BayHa Long Bay

The water moves slowly, almost like it’s in no hurry. Limestone islands rise out of the sea, and for a moment, it feels like you’re inside a painting. Photos here look amazing, no doubt. But the real experience is sitting on the deck of a boat, doing absolutely nothing.

For most Indian travelers, the easiest way to explore Ha Long Bay is by taking a 2-night cruise from Hanoi. You don’t really have to plan much; everything is sorted for you.

The prices of cruises usually start around ₹8,000 to ₹10,000 per person per night, while premium ones can go up to ₹25,000 or more. But honestly, the experience is what makes Ha Long Bay one of the places to visit in Vietnam.

3. Mua Caves(Hang Múa)Mua Caves

This one starts with a climb. And yeah, it’s not an easy one. Around 500 steps, steep in parts, and the sun can be harsh. But then you reach the top. And suddenly, all that effort makes sense. Rice fields stretch out in every direction, rivers cut through the land, and everything looks unreal.

Mua Caves are located in a nearby resort, Eco Lodge, famous for its premium experience. You can enjoy the 360-degree view of the Tam Coc rice fields and limestone karsts.

Entry Fee: INR 350-400.

Timings: 6 am to 6 pm daily.

Tips: Wear comfortable shoes. Trust us on this one. Slippers will make things unnecessarily difficult.

4. Bich Dong PagodaBich Dong Pagoda

A quiet path, a small stone bridge, and a pagoda built into the side of a mountain. It doesn’t try too hard to impress, and maybe that’s why it works, making it one of the best places to visit in Vietnam. You walk up slowly, passing through caves and shaded areas, and each level feels a bit different.

And sometimes, there’s hardly anyone around. Those are the moments you’ll remember more than the photos.

Entry Fee: Free, but there is a ticket price for boating from Bich Dong Pagoda to Tam Coc.

Timings: 7:30 am to 4:30 pm daily.

5. Ngu Lam PeakNgu Lam Peak

Not as famous as the others, and that’s exactly the point. The path here feels quieter, almost untouched in parts. The view from the top? Wide, open, and peaceful. No rush, no crowd pushing for the same photo. It opens daily from 7 am to 5 pm, and the entry fee ranges between INR 300 and 500.

What you won’t expect is how still everything feels up there. You just stand, look around, and… yeah, you don’t really feel like leaving.

Vietnam has plenty of places to visit in Vietnam that look good on Instagram. But the ones that stay with you are the ones where you forget to check your phone for a while. And that’s where it gets interesting. Because the best photos usually come from those exact moments.
