Sandakphu Peak, the highest point in West Bengal at 3,636 meters (11,941 feet), is a dream destination for trekkers and mountain lovers. Known as the “Trekkers’ Paradise,” Sandakphu offers breathtaking panoramic views of the world’s highest peaks, Mount Everest, Kanchenjunga, Lhotse, and Makalu, all visible on a clear day. The name Sandakphu means “Height of the Poison Plant,” inspired by the poisonous aconite plants that grow abundantly in the area.
