About Rose Island

Rose Island, also known as Sir Hugh Rose Island or Little Neil Island, is an uninhabited gem in the Andaman Islands, located approximately 40 km northeast of Port Blair. Part of the Ritchie's Archipelago in the South Andaman district, the island spans about 0.69 km² and is renowned for its natural beauty and tranquility. A notable feature is its lighthouse, perched atop a hillock, accessible via 70 masonry steps, offering panoramic views of the surrounding seascape. The island's serene environment and picturesque landscapes make it a favored spot for nature enthusiasts and photographers seeking solitude and scenic vistas.
