Ghoom Monastery, also known as Samten Choeling, is a serene Buddhist sanctuary located in Ghum, approximately 7 km from Darjeeling, India. Established in 1875 by Lama Sherab Gyatso, it follows the Gelug school of Tibetan Buddhism. The monastery is renowned for its 26-foot statue of Lord Buddha, built in honor of Lama Anagarika Govinda.
