Bhutan Dochula Pass is an experience of pure magic. Located at an altitude of 3,100 meters, this scenic mountain pass offers some of the most breathtaking views in the country. The best time to visit Dochula Pass is early morning when the clouds lift to reveal the snow-capped peaks of the Himalayas.
You'll find this gem included in most Bhutan tour packages, and trust me, it’s worth every bit of it. Built in honor of Bhutanese soldiers, Dochula is famous for its 108 memorial chortens, known as “Druk Wangyal Chortens,” which stand proudly against the Himalayan backdrop.
There is no entry fee to visit Bhutan Dochula Pass, though a small fee may be charged to enter the upper levels of the temples. Visitors should be aware that a separate daily fee is required to enter Bhutan, but this fee covers internal taxes and other charges, not the pass itself.
