About Bharat Mandir

Bharat Mandir, located in the heart of Rishikesh, Uttarakhand, is the city's oldest and most sacred temple. Dedicated to Lord Hrishikesh Narayan (a form of Vishnu), it was established by Adi Shankaracharya in 789 AD. The temple houses a unique black Saligram stone idol and is steeped in rich mythology and history.
