About Tickets/Entry Fees:

Entry to the grounds of Ruwanwelisaya is generally free, but if you are visiting the Anuradhapura Archaeological Park, there is a fee for the park, which covers this stupa. The park entry fee is around ₹900 for foreign visitors and ₹450 for SAARC nationals, with a passport required to avail the SAARC discount.

  • Ruwanwelisaya is surrounded by other sacred sites such as Thuparamaya, Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi, and Abhayagiri Monastery.
  • The site is open daily from early morning until sunset, ideal for both sunrise and evening visits.
