About Chua Linh Ung

Linh Ung Pagoda is a famous Buddhist site for its large Lady Buddha statue, which faces the sea. The Pagoda is officially known as Chùa Linh Ứng. You can see many small plants outside the temple, which makes it more beautiful. To reach the main temple, travelers must climb 100 to 200 steps.

It is located in the Son Tra Peninsula, just 10 km from Da Nang City. If you are visiting Vietnam and have already added Da Nang to your Vietnam tour packages, also add this visually striking place. The most fascinating thing about it, you will explore mountains, beaches, and spirituality in one place.

Significance of Linh Ung Pagoda

Linh Ung Pagoda was officially established in 2004 on the Son Tra Peninsula near Da Nang. The pagoda became widely recognized after the construction of the 67-metre Lady Buddha statue, which was completed in 2010 and remains one of the tallest Buddha statues in Vietnam.

According to local beliefs, the statue protects fishermen and coastal communities from storms and rough sea conditions. Over the years, the pagoda has grown into an important Buddhist site and a major attraction for travellers visiting Da Nang.

Best Time to Visit

Preferably, travellers like to visit between March and September. During this time, the weather is cool and sunny. The rain possibility is very low. The temperature is around 20°C to 30°C. Morning hours before 10 AM are less crowded and cooler. Don't visit during October and November due to heavy rain and fog around the peninsula roads.

How to Reach Linh Ung Pagoda

You can easily reach here from Da Nang International Airport, a 25–35 minute drive. Taxis, rental scooters, and app-based cabs are the most common transport options for visitors. The 10 km distance costs you around ₹300 to ₹700.
