About International Buddhist Museum

The International Buddhist Museum, Sri Lanka, lies within the premises of the famous Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic in Kandy. It was established as a joint effort by several Buddhist countries, including India, Thailand, Japan, Myanmar, and China, representing a global collaboration in preserving the teachings of Lord Buddha.

About Tickets/Entry Fees:

Entry fees for the International Buddhist Museum are about ₹500 for foreign adults and ₹100 for locals. Photography is allowed in selected areas, and visitors are expected to dress modestly. Audio guides and printed materials may be available at an additional cost.
