About Great World's End Drop

World's End Nuwara Eliya, is located within the Horton Plains National Park, and is one of Sri Lanka’s most breathtaking natural viewpoints. This dramatic cliff plunges nearly 870 meters, offering panoramic views of misty valleys, rolling hills, and tea plantations stretching far into the distance.

About Tickets/Entry Fees:

The entrance fee for World’s End Nuwara Eliya is approximately ₹830 to ₹3,100 per person for foreign visitors. Some recent reports suggest the fee may be as high as ₹3,100 as of early 2025.

Essential Information

  • It is located about 30 km from Nuwara Eliya town and can be reached by car, van, or tuk-tuk via Pattipola or Ohiya.
  • Visitors are advised to start their hike before 6:00 a.m. to enjoy clear views before the mist covers the valley.
  • The round-trip hike to World’s End and Baker’s Falls is approximately 9 km and takes around 3–4 hours to complete.
  • Warm clothing, comfortable shoes, and plenty of water are recommended due to cool temperatures and hilly terrain.
