Enchey Monastery, perched on a scenic hilltop near Gangtok, Sikkim, is a 200-year-old Buddhist monastery belonging to the Nyingma order. Surrounded by lush forests and offering panoramic views of the Kanchenjunga range, it is both a spiritual center and a visual delight. The name "Enchey" means "solitary," symbolizing its peaceful setting. The monastery houses exquisite murals, images of deities, and a collection of ancient scriptures. It is also famous for the vibrant Cham dance festival held annually. Revered by locals and visitors alike, Enchey Monastery is a must-visit for those seeking culture, spirituality, and Himalayan serenity.
