About Sonmarg

Sonmarg, meaning the “Meadow of Gold,” is one of the most breathtaking destinations in Jammu and Kashmir. Nestled at an altitude of 2,800 meters, it is surrounded by snow-capped mountains, alpine forests, and flowing glaciers. Its unspoiled beauty makes it a highlight of Jammu and Kashmir tour packages, drawing in nature enthusiasts, adventure seekers, and honeymooners.

The destination is also known for being a starting point of several treks into the Himalayas, including the famous Amarnath Yatra route. Whether it’s a walk along flower-filled meadows, trout fishing in the Sindh River, or a thrilling pony ride up to the Thajiwas Glacier, Sonmarg offers a refreshing escape from the chaos of daily life. Its charm lies in its simplicity and raw natural beauty, which leaves every traveler spellbound.
