Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur is one of the world’s largest private residences and a magnificent blend of Indian and European architectural styles. Built between 1928 and 1943, this golden-yellow sandstone marvel was commissioned by Maharaja Umaid Singh to provide employment during a famine. The palace is divided into three sections: a luxury Taj hotel, a royal residence, and a museum showcasing the rich history of the Jodhpur royal family.
