About Tso Moriri

Tso Moriri is one of the most beautiful high-altitude lakes you’ll find in Ladakh. Sitting pretty at 15,075 feet, this massive lake stretches over 28 kilometers in length. The first thing that’ll catch your eye when you visit there is the stunning blue water surrounded by mountains. It’s truly a sight that’ll leave you speechless!

Looking to explore this hidden gem? Many Leh Ladakh tour packages include Tso Moriri as a must-visit spot and trust me, it’s worth every minute. The lake is home to some unique birds like black-necked cranes and bar-headed geese, making it a treat for bird lovers. The nearby Korzok village gives you a peek into the simple life of local Changpa nomads who’ve lived here for generations. And the best part is the lake changes colors throughout the day – from deep blue to light green.
