The Temple of Olympian Zeus, located in Athens, Greece, is one of the largest ancient temples in Europe, dedicated to Zeus, the king of the Olympian gods. Construction began in the 6th century BC under Athenian ruler Peisistratos but was completed only in the 2nd century AD by Roman Emperor Hadrian.
