Spiti Valley is located high in the Himalayas, which makes it a stargazer’s paradise. On clear nights, the sky transforms into a glittering canvas, showing off countless stars, planets, and even the Milky Way in all its glory. What makes stargazing here so special, especially in Kaza and Chandratal? These are the regions with high altitude (around 12,500 feet), extremely low light pollution, and crystal-clear mountain air that create perfect conditions for watching the night sky.
