Pin Valley National Park of Spiti is one of the few National parks located in the cold desert of Himachal Pradesh’s Lahaul-Spiti district. It is a hidden gem that feels like stepping into another world. This high-altitude wonderland, spread across 675 square kilometers, is famous for being home to the rare snow leopard and its prey, the Himalayan ibex. The park gets its name from the Pin River that flows through the valley, creating a stunning landscape of barren mountains painted in shades of brown, rust, and gold.
All the Spiti Valley Packages available online now include Pin Valley National Park. What makes this place truly special is how it perfectly combines wildlife viewing with Buddhist culture. The park is surrounded by traditional Spitian villages where locals still live as they did centuries ago. You can even get the chance to spot rare animals like the snow leopard, Himalayan snowcock, and even the red fox, which also with a background of snow-capped peaks and clear blue skies.
The Pin Valley National Park is generally open daily from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Entry is free for all visitors, but foreigners must obtain an Inner Line Permit to visit the Spiti Valley region, where the park is located.
