About Mysuru Palace

Mysuru Palace, also known as Amba Vilas Palace, is a grand royal residence in Mysuru, Karnataka. It was the official seat of the Wodeyar dynasty, rulers of the Kingdom of Mysore. Rebuilt in 1912 after a fire, the palace features Indo-Saracenic architecture with influences of Hindu, Muslim, Rajput, and Gothic styles. Its ornate interiors include stained glass ceilings, carved wooden doors, and royal artifacts. Illuminated by thousands of lights during Dussehra, it becomes a spectacular sight. Mysuru Palace is one of India’s most visited tourist attractions, reflecting the opulence, heritage, and cultural richness of the Mysore royal family.
