Kunzum Pass, located at a height of 4,551 meters, is one of the highest mountain passes in India that connects the beautiful Kullu and Lahaul valleys to the magical Spiti Valley. What makes it super special is the stunning 360-degree view of the Himalayas it offers – you can see the massive Bara Shigri Glacier and the snow-covered peaks that look like they’re touching the sky. This place is a favorite among bikers and adventure lovers who come here between June and October when the roads are clear of snow.
If you’re planning to explore this incredible place, our Spiti Valley packages include a stop at Kunzum Pass. The pass is also famous because of a small temple dedicated to Goddess Kunzum Mata, where travelers stop to seek blessings for a safe journey. Local drivers always honk their horns three times and circle the temple – it’s like a good luck ritual that everyone follows!
No entry fee is required. The pass is usually open from June to early October, depending on weather conditions. The best time to visit is between 8 am to 5 pm. Always check road conditions before planning your trip, as the weather can be unpredictable.

Great Trip. Very Adventurous indeed. Sent that postcard from Hikkim to my grandmother who has always wanted to travel but couldn't. She called me crying. That one small thing made me emotional the whole evening. The package was great but that moment is what I'll carry forever. Thank you Viacation.

Being from Sikkim I thought I knew cold. Spiti in winter is another level completely. What I loved was how untouched everything felt. No crowds at any of the monasteries, no noise in Kibber, just snow and silence everywhere. Viacation planned this beautifully.
