About Kerala Folklore Museum

The Kerala Folklore Museum in Kochi is a captivating cultural center that showcases the rich heritage of Kerala and South India. Established in 2009 by George and Annie Thaliath, the museum is housed in a three-story building that combines Malabar, Cochin, and Travancore architectural styles, constructed using salvaged materials from 25 traditional structures. The museum's extensive collection includes over 4,000 artifacts such as wood, bronze, and stone sculptures, traditional costumes, masks, musical instruments, and ancient terracotta jewelry. Visitors can also enjoy live performances of traditional art forms in the museum's theater, making it a must-visit destination for those interested in Kerala's cultural legacy.
