About Kala Pathar Beach

Kala Pathar Beach is a hidden gem that'll take your breath away. Because of the black rocks dotting the coastline, the beach got its name - 'Kala Pathar' means black rocks in Hindi! What makes this place super special is its untouched beauty. Unlike some of the busier beaches in Andaman, Kala Pathar Beach feels like your own private beach.

These unique black rocks are actually ancient volcanic remains. The beach became a tourist hotspot after the 2004 tsunami, when people noticed how its natural rock formation helped protect the area from major damage. Today, it's one of the must-visit spots in many Andaman tour packages, especially for folks who love taking amazing photos or just want to escape the crowds.
