Located in the Gianyar Regency, this 22-acre wildlife haven opened its doors in 2002 and has become a beloved attraction for both locals and tourists. The zoo is a place where you can get up close with some of Indonesia's most fascinating creatures.
One of the fun facts is that it started as a private collection of birds and grew into what it is today! The zoo played a crucial role during the 2017 Mount Agung eruption, providing shelter to numerous displaced animals. What makes this place special is its commitment to conservation. They've successfully bred several endangered species, including the Bali Mynah, a bird found nowhere else in the world. The zoo also runs a unique breakfast experience with orangutans(primates), something you won't find at many other places!
Bali Special programs have separate fees. Pre-booking is recommended for special experiences. It opens daily from 9 AM to 5 PM.
